Established in 2011, EFIRM is a high-tech enterprise specializing in organic sulfur chemicals and new optical materials. It has successively won national honorary titles including National High-tech Enterprise, National Specialized and Sophisticated “Little Giant” enterprise, National Single-product Champion Manufacturing Enterprise, National Green Factory, and National Enterprise Technology Center.
Since its establishment, EFIRM has stayed committed to the circular economy and green, high-quality development, following a path of independent innovation and development. It has created two major R&D platforms, i.e., the EFIRM Research Institute and Ruifeng Technology Center, undertaken more than 10 provincial-level projects, including major scientific and technological innovation projects, obtained over 150 patents, including more than 140 invention patents, and gained recognition for 36 appraised scientific and technological achievements, including 17 at the international advanced level or above. The two international standards for thiourea developed under EFIRM’s leadership represent a breakthrough for China in the formulation of international chemical product specifications standards. Moreover, EFIRM’s independently-developed poly mercaptan series products have eliminated a technical “bottleneck” for China, filling a gap in the domestic optical lens raw materials market and thus breaking the country’s long-term dependence on imported lens raw materials. This has enabled green, innovative development for the “hydrogen sulfide - organic sulfur chemicals - new optical materials” whole-industry chain.
Considering talents as the foundation and technological innovation as the core for the company, EFIRM will strive to expand the application fields of fine organic sulfur chemicals, increase its market share in this regard, and ensure that the fundamental role of fine organic sulfur chemicals is brought into play. Focusing on the innovative development of new optical materials, the company will seek to build the scale, competitiveness, and quality of the whole industry chain encompassing a full series of products in visual optics and imaging optics.
